Anson M. Stuart, AIA, NOMA, NCARB, PMP, is the founder and principal of Stuart Architecture LLC based in Lauderhill, Florida. Anson is a licensed Architect in Florida, Georgia and Illinois and a Certified Commercial Building Inspector ICC B-2. With over 25 years of experience in design and construction he has worked on some notable projects in the South Florida market including the Betty T. Ferguson Community Center in Miami Gardens and the Urban League Community Empowerment Center in Ft. Lauderdale. Anson also has extensive construction management experience having successfully managed the construction of over $15M in construction projects including four new Single Point of Entry projects with Palm Beach County School District.
Anson is currently a member of the South Florida Chapter of NOMA, Co-Chair of the Built Environment Sub-Council of the Lauderhill Health and Prosperity Partnership (LHPP), Immediate President of the Ft. Lauderdale Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Vice Basileus Elect for the Sigma Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and Co-Chair of Black Architects in the Making Broward (BAM). Anson is a visiting Professor of Architecture at Florida A&M University, and also an Adjunct Professor at Florida Atlantic University where he has served as the NOMAS Student Advisor.
As president of the Palm Beach County Black Business Investment Corporation and Pathway Capital Funding, Stewart spearheads efforts to expand access to capital, financial literacy training and technical assistance for Black, minority and women -owned businesses. Through her commitment to inclusive growth and lasting partnerships, she aims to create opportunities and support the economic success of diverse communities. Stewart has an extensive background in community and economic development. She serves as the treasurer of the Black Chamber of Palm Beach County and as a board member of the West Palm Beach Center for Arts and Technology.
